There are a number of writers in the Chalupa community and some who have expressed interest in writing for television, the screen and/or theater. Most screenwriting software is very expensive (in the $300 to $800 range). Below is a very affordable program that you can download directly from the internet. If you purchase it through the link on this page, you will receive an additional 30% discount. I've used a number of scriptwriting software packages and for the money, this one is tough to beat.
Page 2 Stage is a word processor designed expressly for people writing screenplays, scripts, and plays. It provides numerous features needed by screenwriters not found in standard word processors.

Page 2 Stage supplies formats for feature films, sitcoms (taped and filmed) and stage plays. All are modifiable. This program uses a registration code system of copy protection that allows you to install on as many computers as you wish. A password is required the first time you run the program.
Page 2 Stage has been partially translated into 30 languages and Windward Studios intends to support as many languages as possible. What that seems to mean is that the menus, buttons, and on-screen type font have been translated in one of those 30 languages. In some of the European languages, the dictionary and help files have also been translated.
Page 2 Stage has all of the standard features found in the more established programs: smart tabs, proper handling of page breaks, dual column dialogue, thesaurus with antonyms, spell checker, script notes, pop up boxes to insert location, time of day and character names. Windward Studio has cleverly taken ideas and features from every word processing or scriptwriting program ever invented. There's a properties feature ("Alt+Enter") that calculates in an instant how many scenes, pages, cheats, and words there are in the script. The percentage of dialogue and action is listed too.
In sum, Page 2 Stage is inexpensive and has some innovative features. If you're willing to take a chance on a new product and don't need revision or production features, then Page 2 Stage may work for you.
